The impact you will have

As a Junior Tax Consultant, you will be required to assist our consultants and receive training in the following areas:

• Assistance to companies and its executives :

  • The optimization of salary packages (alternative/bonus remunerations) in a national (e.g. incorporation, creation of an executive committee) and international (e.g. split payrolls) framework;

  • Tax optimization through stock options and equity incentives;

  • Advice on international mobility (immigration review, social security, taxation);

  • Assistance for the recognition of companies as being eligible to obtain the special tax status for their executives;

  • Planning in the frame of the cessation of activity/end of contracts (e.g. pension, dismissal);

  • Planning in order to reduce the employment cost (Applications for withholding tax exemption research and development);

  • Optimization in terms of specific legislation (e.g. inheritance fax, copyrights).

• Assistance to individuals :

  • Perform a wealth audit;

  • Inform you about gifts, civil companies, trusts and foundations, (life) -insurance;

  • Integrate the international dimension of wealth and estate planning.

• Compliance :

  • The preparation of tax returns for residents and non-residents taxpayers (special tax regime);

  • The preparation of special tax regime application requests for foreign executives;

  • Assistance with immigration formalities (work permits, professional cards);

  • Assistance with pre-declarations (application for social security A1 -form/ certificate of coverage, Limosa declaration);

  • Hypothetical tax calculations, including the set-up of monthly payrolls.

• Pre-litigation and disputes :

  • Requests for agreement with the Ruling Commission and VLABEL;

  • Tax regularization in the fields of direct tax (resident and non-resident) and inheritance tax;

  • Participation to tax audits (direct taxes: resident and non-resident);

  • The negotiation of agreements and defense of your interests during administrative procedures (request for information, notice of amendment or ex-officio taxation);

  • Accompanying and monitoring your tax disputes before the Courts in collaboration with your lawyers.
